Below you can find some more information about my career and experience, as well as details about publishers, agents and clients I have worked with, awards I have received, and residencies I have participated in…
Translating & Writing. I have now been working as a freelance translator for over five years, during which I have built up a portfolio that includes translations of full-length novels, short stories and extracts, academic articles, and creative texts such as interviews with renowned writers. I am passionate about working with texts that push creative and stylistic boundaries, and actively seek to translate work that speaks on meaningful topics, be that on a more intimate and personal level, or a more politically-engaged, global level. Over the years I have also had wonderful opportunities to write reviews, feature pieces, and articles for several online and print magazines.

Reading & Speaking. As well as translating, I also provide meticulous and informative proofreading and copy editing services for several clients in the publishing sphere, and have several years of experience in producing reader’s reports for novels originally written in French and Spanish. Being on the ground in Spain allows me to be particularly in touch with what is happening in the Spanish-language literary world, and gives me a useful edge in seeking out new works and judging current trends. Every now and then, I step out from behind the desk to speak on panels on literature and translation, host literary events or conduct interviews with other translators and writers. I’ve hosted several literary events in bookshops both in the UK and in Spain, have spoken at events and panels on translation and literature, and have interviewed other translators and writers for literary podcasts.
